I've done a search and came up with nothing. Has anyone had any experience with Cosmetic-DentistryCR.com close to Paseo Colon?...good or bad. Thanks in advance.

Hardly the only game in town. Costa Rica is one of the most popular Dental Medical Tourism places in the world.

You will find a wide variety of experiences at almost every dentist some good some bad. For example Junky seems very satisfied with Dr. Kaver on the other hand a former neighbor of mine, a retired dentist from Florida, had a totally different experience and in fact had to go to another dentist to fix the problems caused by the work done at the Kaver clinic.

I have recommended Dr. Anglada to a number of people after speaking with him when a friend from the U.S. was seeking implants. Everyone who has used him after I recommended him has been very happy with the results.*

* Disclaimer to satisfy Phoenix Rising: I have never had Dr. Anglada perform any procedures on me.

A Tico dentist from Escazu, married to an American, recommended Luis Kaver to me for veneers in 2001. I had the work done then and have been very happy with the results. Kaver speaks English and studied in Texas.

His wall and some promotional literature is full of pictures of various beauty pagent winners, Miss Costa Ricas from many years, as well as actors and other famous Ticos that he claims to have worked on. Of course, I suppose he could have just used the photos, but I was happy with my results and the price. I think it was $2500 for 10 veneers in 2001.

I had an implant done by them and we finished last July, I was overcharged $175, promised a full receipt showing why since I had previously been paid in full that I now owed $175 and of course that never arrived.
My last fitting was to be done at the Santa Anna office and they had a driver that would take me there with 3 other patients if I went 3 hours early....so I did, when they finished with me I asked when the driver would take me back to SJ and they told me I was on my own........What?????? you never told me that I would be on my own....you told me you had a company driver..... I was stuck in Santa Anna without a way back, no bus line to SJ (that they knew where to catch) and they pretty much said too bad....so sad when I complained about not being informed about it. Dr Anglada only does the actual implant of the post, everything else is done by Eduardo Castro and he is the one who came up with the bogus charge. The implant is fine but I believe that I could have saved at least 30% by going to another clinic. Also I was charged $250 for whitening that didn't whiten at all. I will never go back there, it was a ripoff and Castro in my opinion is a crook. Also I had 3 appointments to get a color match which of course didn't match and on the 3rd appointment for color match they just bring a machine that matches color.....why they didn't use that on the first appointment I don't know.
Cute receptionist though.....
I Do Not Recommend Them

Why not just go to CRT sponser 90210. 10% discount. Jeff picks you up and drops you off. State of the art facilities with an in house dental lab. Bunch of attractive woman work on you. I just had an implant done, total cost was $1550. Very happy with it.

I will fully reccommend Dr.s Munoz (father and son) at CosmetisdentistryCR.com

Stayed in San Jose for 17 nights. (All 17 at Tiquicia Hotel, with my CRT discount).

Two implants, one extraction, two crowns removed (so all new ones would match) and 7 cubic zirconium/porcelain crowns.

The dental office was more modern than the one I had used in Atlanta, Ga. Great service staff, lab on site, both doctors trained in the US and speak excellent english.

All the work was $4300. I was quoted $4000 to $5000 per implant and crown in Atlanta. So $4300 plus about $2500 for airfare, hotel, taxis and eating out for 17 days. (Oh, and at least 2 girls per day, usually one at Calle 6 or a mid-range MP and then one from HDR or KL).

All in under $7000 with a vacation verses $17,000 to $18,000 with no vay-cay and no chicas.

I will have any needed future work done by these doctors, very happy with my new smile. Highly reccommend them.

By future work, I am referring to the fact that I need more work done on the bottom jaw and some rear molars. Just had 7 upper front teeth done this time.

And, yes I checked with 90210. Seemed to be nice people, but the CRT discount does not apply to implants. (These are done by an outside dentist they use.) 90210 had a better rate for crowns, but the total price for implants and crown was lower at CosmeticDentistryCR.com

PM me with any questions on CosmeticDentistryCR.com or Hotel Tequicia.
