The SL is never really down. Some times of the day you can go in there and there not be people in the bar. But in my limited experience there, I have never really seen a time of the year that you could really call a "low season". Bill is always ready to have a drink with you and maybe get round in...... Of course that is just my humble opinion......

Ok I tried to get a room for this weekend yesterday....and I guess they are pretty damn busy. Only one room available (presidential suite, which I don't care for). I did manage to get a room for next weekend (woo-hoo, Saturday next week is UFC night!!!) but it is a Courtyard room and right next to the kitchen. But if I can manage to sleep here at the Scotland Apartments, which is sandwiched between not one, but TWO train tracks, I don't think I'll have a problem.

Times are tough for me too. Ya think Bill might give me a good rate on a closet or let me set up the air mattress out in the common area after the bar has closed?

SL was consistently full (not packed) during my recent 6d/5n stay. I suppose if you float through at a particular time it might be easy to assume that moment in time in indicative of their overall business. I stayed at the SL so I got to see the activity at all hours. They seemed to have a good occupancy rate and better yet, the Tica to Gringo ratio was very good.

A few Fridays ago it was absolutely packed at 3:00 p.m. Maybe everyone was just happy to watch some women's world cup. Quite a riot watching all the gringos arguing over women's soccer.

How about the Nica / Gringo ratio?

All kidding aside, the past weekend SL was not "packed" in any sense of the word with chicas. The hotel was full but the pickings were slim to average. There were a few times I saw many more mongers than chicas, which is normal for daytime but not so normal in the evenings.

Granted, it was a long "lunes feriado" weekend so it is possible many girls were out of town partying in Provincia Guanacaste.

High+tight must be a euphemism for skinny, nothing to grab on to, barely-there gringa-like ass right? Poor Ale is somewhat deprived in that department. I'm not talking JLo (yuck) or Kardassian (double-yuck) booty either - I prefer Jessica Alba's or Scarlett Johansson's.
