What is the cost of alcohol at some of the top places to visit?
Plus, the casinos, is there always a poker game in action. What is the buy in and betting stakes like to play?

He three most popular spots are SL, del Rey and HLH. The drink prices are in order with SL being the lowest with the CRT discount. I drank nothing but vodka and orange juice at SL. They were about $3 at SL, $4 at dr and $7!?!?!?!? at HLH. the only major downside to HLH would be the drink prices.

And Idem charges 2200 Colones for a WATER!

DR a cappuccino is (under2$) WINNER!!!!

U would think these smaller venues would be more competitive, backwards pricing

Also dont pay at NF with Colones, they charge u alot more!

If you are a cheap mofo like me you might consider a bucket of cervezas at Chubbs to get you buzz on then hop on down to the DR like a testosterone-fueled bunny rabbit and sip your more expensive drink there, whilst watching the fabulous tour de p*ssy go by.

I carried a flask when I was in Europe many moons ago. Didn't drink exclusively out of it, but it kept the bar tab down. :D

A beer with CRT discount is 1350 colones or two for 3,000 during happy hour.

Trick question?

I can drive to a Beer Store here in Canada in under 3 mins and get any of over 350 brands of beer for pretty decent prices. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the women. I'd still come back from CR with a smile on my face, even if I never had a single drink of beer while I was down there.

Ahh just keeps me dreaming of Nica land, where a beer is a buck and a mojito is a buck and a half. :D

Many guys are on a budget. As a matter of fact, you can have one hell of a time here, even on limited funds. I've had some of my best times hanging with guys on a budget . It forces someone to apply a lot more attention to the out of the way places that I may have not found by myself.

And some of (us, them , he, she, I , we or the people that I didn't see) can drink quite a few beers in 3 days to a week.

I understand completely . Don't want to be penny wise and dollar foolish. Here, many times, the Sportsman's Lodge fits the bill just perfectly.

Now if I just wanted a fancy place to drink I could have stayed in Atlanta and started many evenings at the Sundial Bar and Restaurant at the top of the Westin. But even there I usually wound up at some dive bar in Little Five Points, Smiths, Dotties, The Point, The Stien Club, or any number of more local places with flavor.
