Well it's hotter than Sunburn in Texas :!: Boring, ... and the same old same old. :| Was thinking about a quick Turn & Burn to Vegas next weekend, but that would only take me down to 100F from 104F. It's hotter in Texas than it is in Vegas, and that just ain't right :? . What else could I do :?: ? Where else could I go :?: ? How can I Beat the Heat?

Then I thought the temperature in San Jose is always between 60 & 80F. And I haven't been since April when I was watching the Masters while smoking a good cigar...... Cool breeze blowing thru the SL bar ..... and Hot Chicas wearing parkas wantin' to warm up! My voice of reason was saying "Oh but the flight is too expensive for a weekend  and you already have a trip booked for August." That other voice  said "check the prices". Well I decided it wouldn't hurt to check the flight prices and figured they are probably way too high for only 10 days advance purchase. Damn..... Spirit dropped down to $92 EW. My voice of reason said "Think about the other costs"; and the other voice  said "Loco, just spend most of the time in the MP's, HLH and check out the Pirate Club and it won't be that expensive!". I couldn't argue with that reasoning; sounded like 10,000 posts on this board  . So I booked my flight for $304 plus $20 EW for a carry on bag. $21 for travel insurance incase I get shot, stabbed or have a heart attack  ! Total $361 :D . I know about the bad reports on Spirit so don't bother warning me. I'll take my chances since Continental has left me and my Wing stranded many times. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hope ya'll can join me!

Loco-......

In Texas before you depart, or SJ?

Fair question. Probably more likely to get shot in Texas since more people carry guns and are better shots. But in Texas, at least I'll get to shoot back. Getting stabbed is probably more likely in SJ since most people grow up with machetes and down size to a pocket knife when they move to the city. And you know the old saying " When a Chica offers to sell you a knife, buy it". Too bad I can't bring my trusty Rambo III knife with me for that NYC Crocidile Dundee moment! Now as for the heart attack, its a toss up. If I have one in Texas they will probably find me slumped over my desk at the office some morning. If I have one in SJ, odds are that they will find me in bed, with a Big Smile on my face :D
