Hi All !

Come Down to San Jose on occasion for business. My corporation puts us at a hotel that isn't chica friendly. In the past I've just used New Fantasy to take the edge off.
Been to the HLH no too long ago. While the gals there are quite attractive I cant stand the smoke at the bar.( a cigar bar... go figure :P :D )
I've been hesitant to grab a gal from HDR or SL and blindly going where she wants, for security reasons more than anything else.
I think I would enjoy the experience with some of the gals from SL or HDR more so.

Can you guys recommend a short time hotel that is safe, clean, in the vicinity, not a shit hole, and doesn't cost a small fortune.
Certainly appreciate any info and suggestions you have.

Muchos Gracias

La Oficina two blocks west of the HLH. Or Motel Eden which is a short taxi ride from the gulch. Morazan rents short time rooms if they have any rooms open but that is rare these days.

Thanks Irish!

Appreciate the quick reply.

Any idea what a room goes for? Do any of those hotels mentioned have a website to check them out?

Check the CRT VIP discount page. The Freebird and the Castillo both have web pages, and their queen rooms and standard rooms are both in the $30-something range per night.

Thanks Skink, I just did.
Both hotels show nightly rates, do they also have short time rates as well?

Both the Freebird and Castillo are regular hotels, not ST places, but the lowest-priced rooms at those places are cheap enough (especially with the CRT discount) that you could just keep a room there as your "secret" play space where you can bring chicas.

Otherwise the best of the ST places is Motel Eden at 15K colones for 12 hours, I think, has pretty deluxe rooms; note that in CR "motel" means a ST place for "disceet encounters". All the rooms have an attached garage where the car/taxi parks so no one can see what's going on, and all transactions are done via a dumbwaiter system. Another ST place I know of is Motel Las Arcadas. La Oficina is a lower-end ST hotel, not really that nice but it's a big step above the Hotel Asia, the $10/room shithole that lots of chicas use.

I was impressed with Hotel Asia last visit, new floor tile and a clean sheet. The missing toilet seat was the only thing to complain about, but Ticas don't complain about that.

La Oficina was about 17.00 last time I went.

The Eden is a great place, a short ride from the gulch. Get a hydro room, big jacuzzi some with waterfalls, a sauna, pedestal bed with either music or closed circuit tv, you can even order munchies (if needed) or drinks too. Some rooms are very plain just the old wham bam scene.

It has been about 5 years or so ago, but the one time I went to Eden, it was the nicest room I have been in in Costa Rica.

I'm also staying at a hotel that is not chica friendly. Even though I'll be staying 5 days, I don´t think I'll have the time to hit the Gulch more than a couple times. So I guess I'll try to make the most of those few sessions, not wanting them to be ruined by a bad motel experience.
From what I read, I guess Motel Eden seems to be the safest bet. I can't thank you guys enough for all the information I could gather from this board in just two days, regarding places, security, etc. It´s my first visit to CR and it is on business, so this is my first post.

I'll probably be hitting HDR on monday night. If I have a chance for another trip downtown during the week, would you recommend repeating HDR or is it worth it to try some of the other places?

On a side note, I've been living in the Domincan Republic for a few years now, so I can gladly exchange experiences with any of the local guys in CR willing to try DR anytime soon.

Thanks again!
