The NY Strip and Ribeye are from Don Fernando's and very good quality, especially for down here.

The NY Rib is really excellent and it's a fairly nice portion of lean meat.
I think they also offer Del Monico.
Not one trip goes without me having one or two Ribs. Especially when Ariel is cooking. He knows exactly how I like it trimmed and cooked.
Just be careful how you ask for it to be cooked. If it's not Ariel and you ask for medium rare, it'll come out medium. If you want it medium, it'll come out medium well, etc.
And what's best, their steaks are reasonably priced.
You wont regret it.

I know this is not your post but to clarify on the hamburger price c4475 ($8.95)This includes 23% that the house (SL) just passes on. 13% sales tax to the Municipalidad and or the Rupublic of CR, and the government mandated 10% service charge/tip that goes to staff. Real cost of our hamburger before these add-ons is c3446 or $6.89 Now we both know the final cost no matter what is the final cost to our guests, however its important to know just what the establishment might be putting in its register as a gross price before real expenses and costs.

Thanks,

Bill

As I've said before, blame high prices on suppliers down here. Almost every restaurant I know is running the same food costs as restaurants in the States try to run...

IMHO, regardless of the price (within reason), not many establishments can beat that the super burger the SL delivers. Especially with the amount of fries and the beautiful smiling faces of the bar staff. This is not to mention the great atmosphere that is usually shared with fellow CRT brothers.
