after clearing customs there is a taxi stand. for $12.00 to your hotel. yes from what i have read the europa is chica friendly. pura vida

I just spent 2 weeks at Hotel Europa. I will post a detailed report in a day or so.

You will have no trouble finding a taxi at the airport. Europa is on Calle Central entre Avenida 3 y 5 near the ANDE (teachers' union) building.

It is chica friendly. Chicas have to present their cedula, and the receiptionist makes a photocopy and puts it in your folder. If the same chica visits again, just tell them her ID is in your file. Unlike Hotel Presidente, you can even take two girls to your room at Europa.

Europa is 7 blocks from the Blue Marlin, which is an easy 15-20 minute walk in the day time or early evening. It is probably not safe to walk late at night. You can take a taxi for about 500 colones.
