Since the beef in CR is sooo Badd, can you bring your own frozen beef through customs without problems?
AA still has 2 free bags and I only bring 1, a cooler as my 2nd would be free and I would love to have a steak that I can chew.

I know guys have brought steaks in their checked bags, but a cooler, I don't know. Me, I enjoy the beef in CR I would think it is grass fed vs grain, hormones etc. etc., But I also eat a lot of wild game.

I know that vacuum packed frozen beef can be taken into CR. We grilled some at the Penthouse over Memorial Day 2010.

I bring meat in occassionally, Spiral sliced ham. It needs to be vacume sealed with a USDA stamp.

I bring down a full rack of lamb--buy it fresh then freeze it then wrap it inside a supermarket freezer bag in checked luggage. Never gotten a second look for doing this.

The Don Fernando's steaks are really pretty good. SL has both the ribeye and New York strip. If you are going to be here and want to cook, the Don Fernando's market is on the east end of Curridibat (just east of San Pedro). I generally buy a couple kilos of ribeye in one piece and cut it to suit before it goes on the grill. Good eats.
