This is my favorite place to eat in Jaco. Its right on the main drag in Jaco and severs up some killer Tuna dishes. The spicy tuna wassabi/soy rice bowl is so good you wont belive it. This is where all the local surfers eat every night dont miss this place if your in Jaco.

Surfdog, You have distinguished yourself as a person with good taste. I eat there at least 3 times a week and go back and forth between the Poky and the Pad Thai. Every once in a while, I get the sashimi platter also. Caliche and his wife are great, they run one of the most efficient restaurants in CR.

Is that the little open air sushi bar?

I love that place 3rd world I met Caliche over 20 years ago. I always stop in to say hi to him. He used to own a little pizza place a few years back so i imagine the pizza is pretty good there too but i can never get past the Tuna.

He is located on the main drag beachside he has a sign up but it is easy to miss if your not looking for it. You get the sahimi platter at caliche's? Ill have to try that in a week ) If i catch me a yellowfin ill be gringing it with me lol.

Ill be in Jaco from april 8th through the 11th and ill be eating at caliches as much as i can.
