 Post subject: Culture Nicknames

One of my employees is from Honduras and was explaining to me the nicknames of Latin cultures in the Americas. Its kinda interesting but incomplete. If you can complete (or correct) the list, please add.

Honduras- Catrachos
El Salvador- Guanacos
Guatemala- Chapines
Mexico - Aztecas
Costa Rica- Ticos
Nicaragua - Nicas
Brazil - Brazilianos
Colombian - Paisa

and each country has nicknames for people from different parts of their country?

like colombia...costenos?...calenos?....

a lady from honduras explained some of their internal nicknames once, but I can't remember now.

Some nicknames that they call each other that I've heard

Costa Rica, Mai
Colombia , Gorda and Paisa
And for to my surprise, I've heard some Nicas call other Nicas, Paisa , or Vieja
