"only 27% of Central Americans( and just 10% nicaraguans) are enrolled in their national social security systems according to Miguel Guitierrez Saxe, a costa rican economist."

"Nicaragua is the poorest country in mainland Latin America"

15% of central americans ( 6 million)have left their countries and emigrated mostly to the United States
