sadly i was too late to book rooms at the SL. i called and they said they had 4 suites, waited for email confirmation, it was booked...
i tried HLH but its kind of expansive. Balmoral seems to be really close to DR. i know that they charge $30 "for guests" but i think im running out of options.
Has anyone stayed there before? any info will help.

Thank you.

Have to agree, management there are a bunch of tools. And the guest fees sucks.

Another Gulch hotel that's a CRT Sponsor: the Hemingway. Mixed reports but cheap.

Try this place: buysell/single_ad.php?ad_id=9. He's a CRT sponsor. You might get lucky.

Good advice. Amistad is 100 yards away from SL, DI is about 10 blocks.

Another option: send a private message to Bktuna and ask him to hook you up at the Clarion. He can swing a good deal there for CRT members, no chica fee. He also runs HLH by the way.

Castillo is another great economical alternative. Its one block from New Fantasy and 2 blocks from HLH.

Try the Freebird , it`s got the best location and good prices . You can go to thier web site and see the rooms. This is where I now stay after trying the rest. Good luck. Joker99

Above is the Castillo's number. Nothing fancy, but I love the service and vibe, and the location is great (two blocks from the SL).

All the hotels guys suggested are far better than the Balmoral.

Balmoral blows big time - one time was enough, years ago, when EVERYTHING else was booked.

Sad thing...it couda been a contender
