With all due respect to Asta, what's all the fuss about? Does it make a difference who you buy your Rum & Coke from? :?

It does for me in two ways:

1) A good bartender turns a bar from a generic watering hole into a place you appreciate visiting. It was always cool to hang at Astas's old bar (HLA) despite the lack of talent on premises.

2) I hope Asta takes over the SL bar staff management again.

She's a nice person who always welcomed me back at LA. Nice to see she's not working for the...ahem..questionable management at DI anymore.

asta is awesome. what a personality. she had the lights dimmed and the music turned up for me. kept hitting me with shots of tequilla. she then had a cute chica daisy rock with me in the bar area! what a start to a crazy night

I hear ya Orange and understand what you mean. ANY bartender can make a rum n coke

BUT, Asta and Daisy and other GOOD bartenders go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Both of them go out of their way to lean over or go around the bar to give a hug or kiss on the cheek. Do I need it? No. Do I like and appreciate it? Yes. Just makes me want to spend more time there or anticipate my return a little more.

Anyone can make a drink, but not everyone can tend a bar.

That is a rare sighting in CR, a good bartender! :D I must travel to see that! Having been a bartender for many years, it perplexes me that they find it so hard down here. Don't get me started on how long it takes to make a drink. I have fallen asleep waiting on bloody marys. That's what I actually like about Jessica, not about getting in her pants. She is the only bartender I have encountered here who could have worked at any of the places I did in a former life.

stopping by tonight. hope to see her. straight up the lady has class and is a wealth of information besides. she stands out from the others for reasons different than just good looks.

I don't know what's the big deal about this! I found nothing exceptional from her when I visited Dunn Inn. Matter of fact I believe she ripped me off by more than $3.00 on my first goose and tonic drink while giving me back my change! I have yet to meet a good bar tender that is really inviting enough to make me drink more!

One thing which makes a good bartender - keeping my drinks coming. Nothing worse than I'm working on a good buzz and the buzzkill of a bartender has to be reminded six times I need a refill. Asta and Daisy both have never (ok, I hate to use the N and A words - never and always, since memory can be a fuzzy thing) - I mean to say, rarely if ever have done this to me. That makes them stand head and shoulders above most bartenders.

well there appears to be more room in the bar as she has apparently replaced four or more of the previous girls. unless that was an understaffed night. really glaring how bad some of the others are when she is around imo.

Does anyone know if Asta is available for P4P?? It has always been a fantasy of mine to have a nice MILF and she fits the bill unlike most SJ's 20 something year's old MILFs.
Thanks.

There are no "too nice" girls in the world. All humans have a price, which is not always money. It could be looks, game, or the promise of salvation/security in a longterm relationship, or merely to help support the bambinos, the latter the most common in Latin America. That said, Asta is a truly friendly person and a great bartender.
