It was my first choice for a few years, though I haven't been to visit it in over five years now.. so it may have changed. The service was excellent, they always treated my chicas well, and the restaurant was the best of any of the San Jose hotels I've frequented over the years... possibly the best corvina I've had in San Jose, and excellent, excellent steaks. The rooms are OK, though not all that modern. I had to leave them (reluctantly) because WiFi is a necessity for me and they did not have it.

I stayed there after I was grounded in SJO on 9/11. I really liked the place..it was really quiet back then, and I think I only took one chica back there with me..no problem. Good food, good room prices and friendly staff. I also like the art deco style of the place.

Here's more on this boutique hotel. NOTE: Still no mention of WiFi:

I could think of a lot of terms to describe the Europa but boutique sure ain't 1 of them. I've spent some time in the bars there, & banged a lesbo performer in a room there after 1 of the shows they used to have there. Aging & run-down are more appropriate terms to describe the Europa.
