Was going to send him a PM but wanted to publically thank Bill for (another) outstanding stay. From the Happy Hour on Thursday, to the party on Friday I could not have felt more at home and welcomed. Your consummate professionalism coupled with sincere friendship makes it no wonder why the SL continues (and will always be) my #1 choice of Hotel while in Costa Rica 8)

I wanted to thank all the great guys I met from non-CRT’ers to newbie’s alike. But if you ever come across that cutie I hang out with, say a hello for me ;)

Cujo

Bill consistently does the right things to create a unique atmosphere of comraderie and fun for all of us. The movement of the Friday night party to SL was a prime example. He agreed on short term, booked a DJ and ponied up money for a dance contest. He did not worry about short term profit margin only entertaining us. This long term focus and genuine concern for his clientele is what has made the SL such a success.

As Usual, 'The Cream Rises to the Top'.

The Sportsman's Lodge has become such a great part of our Costa Rica experience.

And of course, the default place to stay, so plus 1.

I'd second that motion. I've never had any complaints about the SL, and more often than not, I've had a helluva time staying there. Its number one in my book!

I must agree with this thread 100%. I know this is silly, but I plan my trips to SJ depending on the room availability of the SL. I really wanted to come down last week of February, but it wallall booked up and when not; my favorite room wasn't available; so I pushed my dates back to the end of March. SL have always make me feel at home, so I have no reason to go anywhere else. :D

Now, if I could just find that Jessica girl with the squeaky voice.....

SL--always my first choice. Keeps on getting better. Just before I left on my last trip I booked it for my next one.

SL if off to a great start with me!! Just booked my first stay last night on the phone for the weekend of April 29. Manfred hooked me up with the room I asked for based on reccomendations from a fellow CRT member. Got instant email confirm and then I got a quick response from yahaira on a hotel shuttle question!! Can't wait to get there to enjoy the hotel and all it's "amenities"!!

I know I wasn't disappointed on this trip. Cujo it was good to meet you finally and everyone else that I did. Truth to tell though, I met so many people besides you and SanTe and 2 other people i forgot the names already. LOL

Bill excellent job with the staff selection, security to protect us and amenities to make people feel comfy while away from home.

They have improved since Ray was there, several years ago. I like Bill and the staff there but will not stay there anymore. As they say YMMV and there are other places to stay in the gulch.

Ditto. Have tried to stay there a few times & met with no response to emails. Even got a PM here about it after I posted it in a thread on SL, which I answered, then nothing. So I'll never try to book there again. Like the place & I go there whenever I'm in town to hang out, have some drinks & eat, but La Amistad gets my hotel business now.
