8) I'm moving this thread over to this area so that general members rather than just CRT VIP members can understand the controvery going on vis-a-vis the Dunn Inn :

Thanks for this post. It would be great for there to be many, many more like it: Lay out in real time just how the "decision making" at that place has impacted on the "traffic" there....since CRT guys are so low dollar, high maintenance types....let's just see who fills the void? Only way to do that is for these on the ground reporters to drop in to the place on their way to and from the Clarion and Hotel Castillo, La Amistad, and the SL. Bet money Dunn Inn "investors" are reading the message board. Only way to get 'em convinced is for continued posting. Prolly better to have said posts in an area where non-"VIP's" can read 'em, too.

Made my first visit to DI since the casino opening at around 9:30pm last night. There were maybe five people total in the casino, not counting the card players in the card room. Sound of crickets chirping, no girls at all.

Damn S1. We haven't always seen things eye-to-eye.... Maybe their goal of moving from CRT to high rollers will work out for them. Who knows? Peace.

Poor Asta and Karol. Could their luck be any worse?SR

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=36747&p=414475#p414475 was the original post which only VIP members could access and still only VIP can access.

It is important, in my view, to not forgot these manner of transgressions. Well, at least in my life I don't forget. Call me a grudge holder, I don't really care. Once such nonsense occurs, "they" go on the list and I don't care if it takes me 30 years to even the score, it gets even and get me mines. *shrug*

So, as guys make their collective ways from SL, Amistad and Castillo (sorry, Vesuvio was knocked down a long time back after they full on dissed a VIP member, and Hemingway has never really stepped to the plate yet....it has options in my viewpoint; I've stayed there; enjoyed the food and the staff, but Josh is gone and some other "manager type" is there....now I do not believe the membership wants to impact in any way in a negative fashion what Admin 1 does to beat the bushes for CRT VIP discounts and advertising....so we all walk a fine line in that area.....) to the Clarion Inn and gaming, kindly stick your head in the door of the Dunn Inn and provide an on-going report relative to it's demise or it's success. Many of us live vicariously through these posts and it brings San Jose right into one's living room having such posts from my perspective. Also provides motivation to lay down the coin so one can see with one's owns eyes. Hell, I might even lay down the now required $700+ air fare to see such a train wreck! 8)

These clowns don't know the first thing about the average CRT guy.

They'll never realize that we skip going to a lot of great places like Rio, Medellin, Nicaragua, and yes, even the South of France to spend our time is Costa Rica where our friends will be.

Hell, we've got the p4p basic pussie requirements met a long time ago. Most guys have it met back home now and just come to CR for good times.

To think we could be 'bought' or would want to patronage a place that put one of us through the meat grinder.

Good luck with that thinking.

Frankly, in many ways, this outfit MAY have done a favor (provided there was no dealin' out of the "house" or the "crib).... in a backasswards sort of fashion: The "opening" of another Bawdy House/gambling joint/money changing shylock operation a la Del Rey is only an invitation for problems; and who better to take out the problems but on the "fall guy" who may very well could have been one Bktuna? * shrug * I dunno; don't really care either as I've made my choice of places to stay and that's La Amistad. Matt at La Amistad knows what he's doing, always treats his staff beyond fair, with no questions, and provides a quality/class environment. Choice is a good thing; we all have wants and needs that differ from the other.

How does it feel to be a loser Done Inn. What truthfully bothers me is the owners have no respect for their employees. Sad situation for them. Maybe they will find better jobs.
