I don't think you guys will be too impressed yet with the 'talent'. I've only seen a few girls there and none were appealing. However its a nice bar to drink at and the prices are very reasonable. You will probably see the place full of hotties in no time. Sort of a critical mass deal.

Maybe after the Super Bowl party the talent will pick up! I'll be there next Wed. so I hope so..but if not, it's ok..sounds like a great place and there's talent all over SJ, so that's ok.. ;)

I like the Penthouse rooms at Amistad, would the D.I. provide something comparable and cleaner.

just home to the frozen white wasteland of new jersey after a 1 month stay at the Dunn Inn ~ i have been going to costa rica for over 20 years as well as making the hop over to europe a few times (& a few other places ;-) ~ even as this was my 1st time at the Dunn Inn in my opinion it is as nice a place next to home that you will ever find to stay.... all of the staff will go above & beyond for any request or need that you have ~ con mucho gusto ~ from the quality of the door men (i have never lived anywhere with a doorman & what a great experience ~ these guys will pick you up off the floor when you pass out ~ make sure you are ok & then think nothing more of it than you are on your vacation & it's just part of having fun ~ bring home a hottie & he will give you a high 5 with the twinkle in his eyes) ~ the desk staff can assist with any business type need ~ great restaurant & staff ~ even the housekeeping staff is stellar!! with all the rooms being new & renovated ~ very fast wireless throughout ~ 2 public computer terminals for ye mere mortals sans laptops, w/a working printer! they will rent you a majic jack for your stay for next to nothing (call the US on the telephone VOIP ~ receive calls too {on a US#}) ooddlles of cable tv channels with several english language stations ~ good reception/nice picture ~ maybe 30 music channels on the tv as well ~ clean ~ nice ~ moderately priced ~ the new bar / casino is the nicest place in town (merely lacks a pool table {the 1 at the SL is excellent{{& free!!}}}) ~ all like just 3 blocks from morizon park in historic barrio armon ~ i give the Dunn Inn 5 stars out of 5 stars & anytime i find myself in san jose i will consider myself lucky if they have a bed there for me (< 30 rooms) ~ a mucho grande gracias a todos en Dunn Inn de david!!

they do have some very nice / large penthouse style rooms (i think there may even be jacuzzis involved) ~ i stayed in gwuapa & enjoyed the large windows w/fresh air ~ beautiful bathroom & shower & a pair of parrots in the birdhouse mounted outside my window as my noisy neighbors!

Can anyone recommend a good contact at the Dunn Inn for reservations, or just call and they will take care of me.
Based on the reviews I want to give the DI a try. Hopefully they can offer a King size room that is cave like to reduce the sunlight coming in early in the mornings. Thanks for the help, contacts or room recommendations would be appreciated.

Paco, actually he does. :D He can place the reservation and makes sure you get the CRT discount as the front desk people don't really know about it. He has always said to PM or email him about reservations.

Don't know when my next trip will be.

Thanks Pidd, we had several hundred people through and the band really rocked. As to girls we had closew to 100 last night including lots of top notch girls. At several points in the evening there were more girls than guys in the room. Tonight we have the chica dance competition and Captain Morgans girls

...And what a grand night last night at Rick's was! Lotta hard work went into throwing this weekend's party blasts and it shows. the band was tight and the mood was right. Can't wait for the next episode. No joke.

i've noticed a trend of which im sure ive been guilty. re-read before you click "submit", some of the posts sound like this:
1. can someone come to my room and change the channel on the tv?
2. i would like to know the difference between the HLH, Dunn Inn, and SL which one has serta sleeper and which one has oversized pillow top matress?
3. which hotel brings beer to my room during sessions and pours it slowly into my mouth?
4. if i call and make reservations can i stay for free?
5. how can i say in spanish, "i'd never have the balls to ask a girl to try this in the us butt how much propina to do...."?
maybe we should start a category for the dumbest things we've posted. i admit i probably have a few lol
