Our existing hotel is very busy, the bar as *ball said is for primarily hotel guests. The new business will have girls, gambling and live music. As to opening we opened the new kitchen this week and we are doing final touches on the main bar. We are primarily waiting on shipments of furnishings TVs etc. We will be soft opening shortly.

The working girls are independent Mike, just like Sl and DR. It is impossible to tell who will be here or not. We are taking several measures to ensure we get plenty of them. We are hiring bartenders and waittresses as we speak.

BK...what will be the closing times of your bar and restaurant? What about room service?

I had Nachos at chubbs well over a year ago. They had a big picture on the menu of nachos like they should be covered with cheese. What I got was chips covered with mayo and pink colored mayo. a mixture of mayo and Ketchup, no cheese. They were pricey and just shit. I haven't been back since. I won't go back and I tell everyone of my experience. Around $6

when eating in a 3rd world country and at a restaurant that isn't a chain.....before I order I do a few things (if I can)
1. try to get a look at the kitchen(just looking inside as employees go back and forth) 2. what ever I order ...as I get seated I try to find someone else eating the same meal 3. always order something that is cooked above 180 meat mostly well done if its burger meat ......first time I stayed at the sportmens ....I am sure I was the "crazy gringo of the day" as I ask the bartender in I could look in the kitchen and got that weird "ok" ....the cook (lady) said "something in spanish" as I looked at the cooking and prep area and touched the coolers to see if they were working and cold ...hey I was staying there for a week and would eat 90% of my meals there .....yes its clean !!!
The last thing any of us want on vacation is getting sick from eating,,,,when it happens ...2 days are gone from your vaca !!!

On my last trip I had a chicken sandwich at a litte place near the Akropolis pizza place, (I should have eaten at Akropolis, have never gotten sick there). This is up the hill from the Hotel Amistad toward the hospital. I should have known, nobody was in there. Explosive diarrhea, I will spare you the details. Moral of the story: if you see ticos in a restaurant, it's probably OK, if not, gringo beware. The place looked clean with litte fish and vegetables and decorative sh*t on the walls, sorry I blank on the name.

Remember Brothers that this is a restaurant professional speaking--I'd sure listen to him.

SL kitchen is not so clean. I've seen a cockroach run out of their one time, and I'm not there that often.

If you check the beginning of this thread, I have been saying from day 1 that the food at Chubbs is sub-par.

You are still mad over a $6 sub par nacho experience over a year ago? Seriously?
