Costa del Sol is less about the pizza, and more about their other menu options.
As mentioned, the pizza is average at best...so work yourself past the counter...grab a table... And choose something off the menu other than pizza.
The pasta dishes are tasty and plentiful.

I've been in there many times for dinner & have noticed that me & my companions are always the only ones ordering anything besides the pizza. Every other table is having a slice or 2 or ordering a whole pizza. None of the locals order the pasta or anything else. porque? dinero? or they know better than us?

The service is usually very good. One time I wanted a palmitto (hearts of palm) salad, and the waiter said they were out, but not to worry. He runs across the street and down a block to the supermarket (near where the buses stop), and is back in about seven or eight minutes with some hearts of palm. That's what I call service!

The cat is for rodent control, all nice restaurants have one walking around (Mariscar). Except the Chinese restaurant where the cats are hanging in the freezer.

The cat doesn't do a very good job.

Cats supposedly love to eat cockroaches too. Fire the present cat, get a new cat.

Cats ain't that dumb. They just play with them and then lose interest and walk away and the roach scurries off.

I have eaten in the Costa del Sol for many years and a few years ago the comments about roaches and assorted vermin were on the mark. It has been cleaned up and I would suspect most of the comments about roaches etc are being made by folks who have not been there for awhile. Adding a side note in all the years I have eaten there I have never been sick after partaking of their food. Can't same the same about some spotlessly clean places in the states.

You're right, ID.....in all fairness, I haven't been there for several years. Glad to hear they've cleaned it up. Next trip, I'll check it out. The food was always good and I really liked standing with the locals along the sidewalk eating a slice of pizza at the counter.
