Anybody know this place? TripAdvisor says this is a good and cheap restaurant and is 1 block north of Parque Morazon, behind the metallic school building. However their map shows this place on calle 10, between ave.2 & 4. It says they have a downstair and upstair dining room along with outdoor tables so it must be fairly large. I've never heard of this place but it sounds worth trying out. Any intel?

Here's what Bioya was talking about (from Googling):

This also includes the TA reviews. Sounds very interesting.

I've met the owner, excellent English, good food, great for a relaxing Saturday coffee and food outside seating. It's located close to the gulch, a block (cien metros) west of the INS building, on the opposite side of the street. You'lll pass Criolitos Restaurant (green building), a small paint store, and then the restaurant. If you reach a parking lot, turn around and go to the first business you encounter.

I have to give the guy credit: he was counting on a big INS breakfast/lunch business and they built a soda inside the building. He's made it this far.

I know where criolitos is located. I am coming down in a few days and I think I will try it out. If it's any good I will let you know.

I stopped in monday afternoon for a snack. My previous expererience with arepas were those terrible things they serve in Colombia for breakfast or as part of a bandeja paisa plate. This guy has about 10 different types, all with different fillings of meat, cheeses, veggies, etc. He stuffs them full of goodies, I tried a chicken & pepper 1, & it was quite filling & tasty for about 1400c.
