I have them on a business page on Facebook. Sounds like they are working it out... Said the bar will be back open in 5 days, I think... A little longer on the food, so not sure what that could be.... I have heard nothing but good things about the place.

They were closed for 5 days as a penalty by the tax authorities.

Taverne-out provision in a complex environment-friendly, small town atmosphere. A fireplaced restaurant decorated with posters from the famous Durham Fair, and in the lounge of the theme is sport - including a stunning mural near Fenway Park, a handsome mahogany bar (find the hidden signs Yankee!). High ceilings and tall windows to pass a clean air, leather booths lend a cozy, warm feeling.

Methinks the Admin needs to update the phpBB security mods. This one spammer is getting annoying.

Admin can make more and more forum topics to be VIP only? Non paying members will always find a way or create new usernames to spam our threads since its a public forum. :?

Ya, but this is a bot doing this. Basically an intelligent script that has been programmed with the registration catch phrase and then automatically registers then scans posts and generates gibberish in return that sorta looks like English. I run a couple of websites myself with this software and I recently got hit by a couple of spammers based in the West Coast of Africa and the Ukraine. I think I ended up banning ALL the IP's of Nigeria because that Country's top ISP provider was in the scams.

There's some simple security updates you can install on this forum platform that isn't too hard to do. Just a PITA and may be a chore if there are a lot of mods already. I feel the Admins pain.... must be tough enough dealing with some of the people on here :)

Anyhow, sorry for the hijack

OTOH michaeldell's tagline checked out--it does lead you to an HP coupon site. Just sayin'...

Ya, they are legit links. They are paid for by the company's being linked. It's just executed in a way that is illegal and underhanded. You have to look at the format these posts are being done in... several newly registered members posting one paragraph responses in active threads that, at first glance, seem legit, but upon a closer look are absolutely gibberish and finally, they all have a signature that is a link to a different company of some sort. Just screams out "SPAM BOT" to me :)

The admin can see the IP for every post, so it's easy for him to see patterns. I'm sure most of these posts can be tracked back to a series of ip's on one ISP in a certain country.
