I see this new advertiser on CRT - Bachelor Mansion. Does anyone have any experience with them? Is this somehow connected to the White House in Escazu? Some of their photos look similar to the White House.

It seems geared toward the newbie young dude who wants to have an expensive catered party in Costa Rica before getting married. To my knowledge that is not who has been coming to CR - but I guess they think it will be changing.

I believe someone just posted that the new "Bachelor Mansion" is actually the old "White House."

It's the Whitehouse hotel. The owner is promoting an "all inclusive" concept.

If by "all inclusive", you mean a room, part of the menu, shitty booze, up-charges for everything, tax, tip, and unexpected charges to your credit card, then I guess it's right on the money...

The Viking/Oxygen concept could very well work in CR, but it would need a host with a better reputation...

The Casino is pretty cool though...

Yeah, I was also thinking they're going after the Viking resort concept. There are guys though with plenty of money but little sense, and will gladly stay there thinking they are getting a "premium" experience. Same kind of guys visit the high-priced Nevada brothels (Bunny Ranch and Sheri's Ranch) for the same reason.

The $499 "all inclusive" special includes a room, a gutted menu and downgraded bar. Tax and tip not included. Maybe they should call it "some inclusive"...

Seriously overpriced.

Mike, I noticed they have a "Pool party" on Sundays. Wonder if anyone has done that.

The "Rehab" party is sponsored by the guys operating the Casino and Spa. They are a good group of guys. But they'll need more cooperative weather if they're to make a go of a pool party...

Thanks for your input!
