I am bumping a topic that Traylor Park started in Travel reports from around the world. I am posting it here to get more visibility. I know the CRT members are great people and have helped other causes in the past.
There is an individual named Mark Kaseman (Marcos) from New York who is supporting a community of very poor people in Medellin Colombia. Primarily women and Ch*ldren, they have been displaced by the civil war. These people are considered an embarrassment by the government of Colombia and are ignored. Marcos was introduced to these barrios by missionaries who eventually left because they were threatened by the paramilitaries. Marcos went directly to the paramilitaries and told them that if he ever did anything wrong, they could kill him. He is well known and loved there now.
Marcos is raising funds for a Christmas party. They will be giving food, clothes and presents. In the first three days after announcing the party he had over 500 K*ds signed up. Marcos is doing this on his own. He is not an organized charity and 100% of the funds go directly to these people. If you can afford to help out please consider it.
