I would never stab a guy in the back over a chica but i will say this I dont like certain mongers who are outright mean to the chicas. Maybe its the way i was raised but their human beings after all.

Totally agree Coqui. But sadly, these types are generally assholes to many others in their lives also. I see so many of these types being rude to the bartenders in the area, to the waitress at breakfast, etc. With the girls, it's kind of stupid to be mean. This is definitely not going to improve the session.

To address the question, I just take it as it comes. I let karma play a roll and feel if it is meant to be it will happen. So it does not matter to me to hunt alone or together. I seldom have a problem finding company.
Although I am a vary picky Bustard and sometimes sleep alone in S.J.
But I just feel that the next "nut" will be just that much better.
It does help that I am able to go South every couple of months and don't ever feel rushed.

I've almost always gone alone, but 'm not averse to having others along. The good thing about being alone is that you can grab your preference without any extra grief from your peers, but there are lots of places I'd rather have somebody watch my back.[/i]

I read this topic with a bit of a pain in my gut. As a blind monger, the solo route is seldom safe and usually less comfortable than traveling with others; I also fully understand the factors which make solo hunting more enjoyable for many.

To my defense, I try to be an excellent wing-man. Yes, I've made mistakes, but I don't think I've ever been a "bad egg." My Spanish is quite good, I look great most of the time and haven't once yet pissed/vomited on a fellow monger. I do however, for pratctical reasons need to tag along.

Given the choice, I'd rather go solo, as variables (and therefore potential disasters/bummers) increase with each additional monger in the pack. My best strategy is to be as charming, decent, generous as possible, while maintaining the minimum "pain-in-the-ass" level I can.

To this, I hope to be able to shadow one or more of you dudes that don't mind the occasional tag along.

I do like to meet other mongers for the off-chica time, but typically hunt on my own. This (June) will be my first CR trip, after 3 years of MX, 2 of RD and an upcoming addiction to LOS in October.

I'll be in CR in June. More details to come.

Could not have said it better. I like to hang with the fellas, but when I am really hunting, I hunt alone 99.5% of the time, unless I am with some good guys.

one exception is going to strip clubs, it just always seems better to go with others. not sure why...

It has come into my mind lately that maybe we need to fight fire with fire. All the girls hunt together and have a network within the DR. We should hunt in big packs as much as possible when there are enough guys in town at one time. Think about it, use their same techniques. IE divide and conquer. Have a buddy lure a chica partner away. Bust up their network as much as possible in a low key way. Confuse them. Have 10 guys in a row offer them $60. I think some experimentation would be fun. Match our wits versus them.
