A couple of weeks ago I used Interbus for the first time. I booked it a week ahead of time online. They were waiting for me when I stepped out of the terminal. They only had one other passenger, who was staying at the same hotel (Morazan) that I was. The cost was $9.50 plus tip. Sure beats $28 or $30! I'll definitely use them again in the future.

Here's the website to get the $9.50 fare and pay by Paypal: http://www.shuttlebus.co.cr/website/sho ... /index.php

If you go through Interbus' website, it's $10 (no biggie), but you have to send them a copy of your credit card. It's much easier using Paypal.

In both cases, you must book at least 3-4 days in advance.

FYI--On Dec 1, fare is going up to $11.40 booked through shuttlebus site . ($12 if booked direct)

Ditto for me last week. Booked online and paid with PayPal. Took a couple of minutes, very easy. A guy with my name was waiting outside, and we had a decent delay getting through Immigration. I asked the driver to swing upstairs so I could exchange some money and gave him a small propina when he obliged.

Will definitely hook this up for next trip.

Thanks for the information.
several weeks ago I was in Cancun and they want $20.00 for a Taxi.
I found you can take a bus into downtown for $4.00 and take the other buses to the hotels for 75 cents.
So inbound and outbound that's a $30.00 savings.
