I'm heading down to CR for the 2nd time in December. Joined VIP, i'm sure it will more than pay for itself many times over.

I like to enjoy a beverage or three when i'm on vacation, and I noticed last trip that there was a huge disparity in the value of booze at the different bars in the gulch.

Maybe some more experienced mongers can point out the best happy hours ect in the gulch so I can save some $$$ for more rewarding expenditures!

thanks in advance

And I may be reading more into it than is there, but I do believe they consider the basis of the lies to be justified."

I usually hang with the fellas and get my drunk on at the Sportsman's Lodge using my CRT card for a 10% savings. Then later when the SL slows down, I go to the Del Rey and buy as few drinks as possible because they are expensive as heck there, but I'm already good anyway and just need to maintain.

Says the Shameless Shill for the Dunn Inn--When the new lounge adjacent opens, it will be a game-changer, not least the Happy Hour. I believe I even heard loose talk--don't quote me--of a midnight-3AM HH. Right now the DI's is fun but Brother TrueSportsman runs state-of-the-art at the SL.

Not a shill if the place happens to be good and you are just making a recommendation to help a brother out and I happen to agree that the friendliness of the attentive bartenders at the Dunn Inn and waitresses together with 2X1 daily for 2 hours make it ideal place to get your drink on.

With your CRT card, domestic beers are always about 900c at the Sportsman Lodge, but then Chubbs has Jessica!

Mini, maybe 3/4 to 1 ounce shots of Crown Royal are 4000 colon. Grey Goose and Patron cost more there than just about anywhere.
Maybe 5 ounces of orange juice or cranberry is 1100 colon.

I think it is the $8 dollar, one-ounce shots that add up. But I can burn a hundred bucks there in no time .

Plus I like to invite others to drinks and there I seem to think twice.

Oh, this talk just keeps me focused on getting to somewhere that is not overpriced. And if it is overpriced, I would prefer it is in the French Riviera or Ibiza or somewhere.. I digress. These prices are making my head spin. Up north in Nicaland it is about $1 for beers and about $1.25 for a good pour of flor de cana. I even caught a 2 x 1 hh and got double shots for $1.25. Was quite pleased at the Dunn Inn. Only drinking at the DR, if and when I go back to drinking, is nursing a beer.

Exactly, I think ! This reminds me of the housing boom in Atlanta. I was absolutely dumbfounded, insulted, and even angry that the low government guaranteed financing had jetted my actual cash price up into the stratosphere . I remember watching in amazement thinking, " This aint San Francisco or New York " ! Anyway , we see how that ended up.

You can put a bow tie on a pig, but...

Well, A Bavaria Light and a tiny shot of Crown Royal is 5300 colon . I am a sucker for tipping and usually give them 500 , so here is Eleven dollars a round per person.

But I think you got me talked into it so I'm gonna go downstairs and get in a taxi . Thursday is my favorite night. 8)
