How can they be making money? They have no advertising down here. Maybe the Sean Hannity party is subsidizing them.

I'm no fan of Faux News either; however, in the interest of keeping Vegas Bob happy I checked the current lineup of channels offered by CableTica ( a competitor of Amnet / operated by Channel 7 which has their offices across from la sabana parque) it indicates that Fox News is carried on channel 52; since I have Amnet I can not independently verify this. The link to this is:
http://www.cabletica.com/programacion/canales.htm

however, I do agree with whomever asked the question of what in the hell this has to do with chicas???

When my ex used to be in bed with me, just before she would go to sleep, she'd change the channel to FOX news. It was kind of cute.

Now I am sick of most of the news stations to the extreme left or right or simply biased . A real journalist would be so refreshing.

The only true source is The Daily Show--Jon Stewart et Cie. skewer the idiocies on both sides of the Great Divide. And then there's The Onion. "99% of what you hear is spin and other BS--and the other 1% isn't much trusted either." That's why I listen to music instead--don't have to research the sources there--it either is or it isn't--no place to hide.

Todays http://www.amcostarica.com page 3 has a short article about the "changes" in Amnet starting tomorrow. The Amnet website doesn't seem to give any charges for the different packages. I hope I am wrong but it looks like the basic package (unable to access it) will eliminate Fox,Espn, and CNN. In addition to sports on ABC,CBS,and ABC....What's left? Thanks Easy....It looks like Cable Tica may be the answer, but in my case I have to convince my landlord to do the switch and I will pay.

Wrong emoticon! Should have been

I neither like or dislike Fox news but to call themselves "fair & balanced" is a travesty.

Gee, I guess that is fair & balanced of you!!

Come on TB you can do better then that. When you read an individuals personal opinion concerning something you understand they have no obligation to present both sides of the matter. A news organization however when they purport to be "fair and balanced" does have that obligation. Most media outlets are biased in one direction or the other but they do not constantly claim they are fair and balanced.

Well, all I can say is that Fox News is on right now, I watch it, I like it and I will not stop watching it. I begrudge no one their right to watch any of the MSNBC communists, socialists and other assorted fellow travelers, but find it interesting that when someone mentions Fox News and people seem to get so freaking upset. To each their own I say.... :D :D And Chubbs sucks!!! :D

Dam, I am going to get a petition going for all the expats demanding that AMNET immediately add MSNBC to their lineup. I had no idea we were missing out on communists, socialists and other assorted fellow travelers  :P

Fox is not a news station. They create their owm news programs and give their opinions. They have no news on prime time.

Their news is mid day and then 6-7:00 PM just like, CNN, MSNBC and all the other stations. Everything else is commentary. Its not hard to see and they don't hide it.

Well, boy howdy, I must qualify on all the counts of the indictment: I briefly lived on a commune thus a commune-ist; I am occasionally social thus a socialist; and being on a bus or airplane with others sometimes condemns me as a fellow traveler. Somebody quick take me out and shoot me--put me out of my evident misery. Wait, wait, were we talking politics? Heaven forfend, effendi.

If you miss Fox just watch MSNBC because all they do is complain about what was on Fox news.

I just scanned the stations. There is no Fox,no CNN, no ABC,
(CBS and NBC are there) no Discovery in English,, no longer all the ESPN stations (not sure which ones are still there) and several others. I did this quickly so I may have missed some.
To make matters worse...Amnet reported that they ran out of digital cable boxes on Saturday, which was two days "before" the scheduled changes.
