I am a CRT vip card holder. Will be making my virgin cr trip from 12/1-12/7. I have narrowed it down to DI, LA, SI and castillo but not sure which to book with. I plan on playing poker a lot in the day and boyd pmed me stating that he's not sure if the poker room at the DI will be ready by then. would like to stay in a room with a balcony with a nice view...does the SI have any rooms like that?

As far as I know SL I don't think have any balcony rooms. The courtyard rooms are around the bar ( bar closes at midnight) so if the bar noise bothers you stay in the mansion wing. I booked the Amistad room at the SL Thanksgiving week off to the right of the reception desk. Its a bigger room with a couch! I've never stayed at the other places that you have mentioned so I can't comment on them, but with the SL you won't be disappointed. The closer you get to midnight at the SL the Chicas seem more desperate and you can cut a better deal with them. $120-$150 for a TLN till 6:00 - 9:00am. Stick to your guns on the price and timeframe with the SL girls. They or you may say no at first then you just walk away. They will usually come back to you and say yes 5 min later. They don't want to go home empty handed after midnight so you have the advantage. Good luck and have a great time Booboo.

I don't recall any good views out any windows in San Jose. In many hotels, there are rooms with no windows at all (some at the Castillo and HDR for sure) while other hotels will have some rooms with views of a cement wall. I wouldn't let the view out your window determine too much of your choice. The attractions of San Jose are mostly indoors

The 4 places you mention are all highly recommended. The main differences are cost and whether you want to be at the party (SL) or just nearby. As a newbie, I'd say that it would be easiest at the SL.

If you do want to stay at the SL, you ought to make your reservations very soon in order to avoid either a sell-out or getting stuck in one of their rooms next to the bar (courtyard rooms).

La Amistad and the Dunn Inn are also top notch. Castillo too although the associated restaurant there is not so good according to recent reviews. People seem to like the food at LA. Staying at the Dunn Inn will also give you the advantage of being mostly with fellow CRTers and a popular happy hour.

The Dunn Inn has 2nd floor rooms with small balconies. The views are typical San Jose. Only a 4 block walk to 3 casinos with poker games that start at 3 - 5 in the afternoon. None earlier. Food is very good in their restaurant & you will not find better customer service anywhere in San Jose. Highly recommend!

At the Castillo, there is a nice room with a little sitting area, with a small table and a couple of chairs. It is almost balcony like, and is a nice place for a quiet drink and to gaze out onto Barrio Ammon (I think this is room 10, but I forget).

The suites on the top floor of the Del Rey have large walk around patios/balconies. But for one person may not be worth it.

Hotel Castillo has a few rooms on the 2nd floor with some nice views. Room #6 has an enclosed balcony that overlooks the gardens...Rooms #7, #8 and #9 have decnt views of the city as well as a room on the third floor (I forget which one :? ).

I can vouch for Castillo #6. Great place to smoke a cig with a naked chica, semi-enclosed, no one will see you, except for the hotel's resident gato (cat).

People on this message board will recommend SL because they are paying this website to advertise their place.

But if you talk to normal customers...they will tell you to stay at the Del Rey...

Del Rey hotel is where the party is at...over 100 girls every night...and over 200 girls on the weekends.

SL...less than 10 girls...no action and excitement here.

Try to read the posts from customers ...don't listen to people who are trying to advertise.

Where ever you stay...go check out the Del rey...and the next time you come...you will definately stay at the del rey

good luck!
