I'll be staying at the sportsman lodge on my first visit to SJO next month and my neighbor wants a shirt from the local harley shop there. Is it close by my hotel?
Thanks.

There was a Harley shop in Escazu across the street from Tony Romas in the a strip mall . That was a few years back an I don't know if it is still there. I sold my bike so I haven't been there in awhile.

Also that upscale resort The White House has at least one Harley--maybe a phone call to them as to where they purchased it/them and have servicing done? http://www.whitehousecostarica.com/
Also here's an agency that rents HD in Costa Rica--Website w/ contact info, etc, including the local HOG chapter and the local dealership: http://www.costaricamotorcycles.com/

No it is in San Raphael Escazu but very easy to get to by bus. Go to calle 20 which is across from hospital San Juan Dios on Paseo Colon and look for blue buses. There are many diffrent Escazu routes so tell the driver you want to go to Hiper Mas. When the bus exits the pista (expressway) get off at the first stop and the Harley store is in the strip mall directly across the street. Fare is about 300 colones each way.

There's also a small one the the little shopping center behind Hooters next to the Courtyard @ Plaza Itkazu [sp?]

Be warned - they're more expensive here than anywhere else I've been (~70 countries ), as I recall a ladies sleveless top was C38,000!

It's not on the way to the airport unless you count getting out of downtown San Jose. Here is a map link just pan out and you'll see Escuzu to the WSW and Alajuela more to the WNW.

Must be a new Harley shop because if it's the one in Escazu it is not by the airport. But $55.00 for a shirt? I think I'm in the wrong biz.

There is a custom bike shop near the airport on the road into Alajuela from Denny's on the right side of the road. Their sign says "Custom Harleys and Japaneese". I have no idea if they have t-shirts or not. I have never stopped in. It is not an HD dealership.

Ketch the san antonio escazu bus across from the hospital...youll see tony romas down the street on the right at the first stop in escazu...you can get off there..and cross the street.. turn left and walk back towards the pista exit..harley shop will be in the plaza on right..depending on the time of day ... your youth and agility ...it might be best to wait until the next stop across from mickeedees..cross over and and walk back up ..youll catch the bus back at the stop right outside of mickeedees ...same bus back to town ... san antonio escazu... :)

No need to have either youth or agility or great speed. Just use the pedestrian overpass.
