Harry's Poas Bar has a great burger. And handcut fries.

A food critic visiting CR told me a couple of years ago that the best burger he ever had was at Los Suenos in Playa Hermosa.

Hamburger Factory prices seems to have gone up.

When in CR, it's probably a better idea to look for the least horrible burger rather than the best burger.

(Analogy-In the US, you don't look for the best gringa, you look for the one that is least nagging and bitchy. )

I've tried pretty much every burger in CR that would be worth trying, here are some good ones:

Hook Up Bar - Los Suenos
Amigos - Jaco
Time Out Tavern - Escazu
Whitehouse - Escazu
Doc Browns - Sabana

Feel free to add to the list. Good burger is hard to find in CR and shouldn't be taken for granted.

I agree a Marriott burger is in a different league, but the Hamburger Factory was damn good for fast food.

I love both Wendy's and Burger King, but in CR they don't really cut it for me. McDonalds is good here however.

Just had a good hamburger at Chubbs, 3500 colones, comes with fries, happy hour is 5 to 7 pm, 2-4-1 drinks, great place to watch a game also.

So, correct me if I am wrong, but that's 7 bucks or a burger and fries?

Oh, wait the Chubbs Shill is back!!! 9 posts and every single one of them about Chubbs. You must be the cook!! :D :D The only thing you have just accomplished is to guarantee that I never enter that dump again. I am sure your boss (Chubb's owner) will be thrilled with you for driving what few customers he has away.  In fact, I will never set foot in that dump again!! 1 down, I don't know, 12 to 14 customers to go!!! :P :P

Like I said before, i am a good friend of his. I for 1 will be very happy that your cheap ass will not be there to take up space. That dump that you call it, has made more money then you will ever see in your life (just from me). Trust me when I say the main man doesn't give a crap about a customer (or not a customer) who complains on a forum about his business. FYI, the kitchen staff speaks spanish
