i havent find any questions on any post so i am asking this... I am just wondering does any of the hostels will allow chicas to come to the room? I cant spend too much money on hotels so i am looking for hostels. I called couple hostels which said no, but i am trying to get a hostel single private rooms (preferebly 25 dollars or cheaper).. there are lots of hostels in san jose. but does anyone know any hostel that is chica friendly? Also if not, any cheap hotels around 30-35 that is chica friendly? I found one hotel called hotel tiquicia and they are so far the cheapest HOTEL ($35 per night) but i cant find any reviews on that hotel.. does anyone know about that hotel... I am planning to go to costa rica on december 1st till december 12th. i know its high season but thats the only time i have free..
please any help will be helpful..
thank you

There aren't any chica-friendly hostels, they serve a different market. The Tiquicia is an alternative, it's actually a glorified hostel/B&B. The Royal Dutch is another cheap locals-place. If you want real cheap, there is the Hotel Nuevo Johnson at $15 a night, also chica-friendly.

thank you hiker tom.. is nuevo jonson in really in a bad place , why is this that cheap, and they dont even have anything written in english. actually me and my friend have decided to stay in a hostel for 6 days and the rest few days in a hotel... in that way we can go to the massage parlors and the last few days we want to stay at hotel so we can actually get chicas from delray... but abt hotel tiquicia? so its a hostel turned hotel? i talked to the girl and she said its close to delrey, is this true? also what other hostels are good within 40-50 dollars near delray? because if we stay in hostel first couple days we might be able to stay in a hotel with that price range. is hotel dunn inn good?
also do you know any good hostels that are near like the massage parlors or that are not as dirty as their fellow hostels..
I stayed in hostel kabata last time I went. it was okay but I wanted to know if there are any better hostels..
thank you

Can the Nuevo Johnson fans tell us- Is the Hotel Asia much worse that the NJ? I've known HDR chicas that have stayed there and supposedly the long term rooms are a little better that the ST ones. Maybe that includes clean sheets and a tv, a toilet seat may be extra though. :?

Maminm for 40-50 you could just get a room at the Morazan or Castillo.

The Morazon is one block from HDR, Castillo is about four blocks from HDR. Note that there is a 13% tax on the advertised rates unless it's stated that the rate includes tax.

A few months ago, I got a room in Hotel Castillo for 3 nights for $100 cash, including CRT VIP discount and taxes. The regular CRT VIP rate is $38/night but I guess they had lots of rooms, so he took my offer. I have heard of CRT VIP's walking up without a reservation and getting a standard room for $30/night cash.

3 things here: (1) Pop for the yearly membership rate here so you get hotel discounts but also access to our great Monger Map--most of your location questions will be answered by consulting it; (2) Yes you can use an ST motel like Asia or Eden but where's your stuff gonna be put the other 12 hours a day?; (3) Look into Hostel Pangea--it's in the Gulch and has private rooms (also one of their buildings has a roof-top swimming pool and bar--depending on your age and game, you might score some freebies).

You don't get this stuff on TripAdvisor no no.

Maminm " where is castillo and morazon located? close to HDR?"

I see you are member here, so I suggest printing out the map of Down town SJ right away. Then some of the suggestion here and the advice will make more sense in where every thing is. and take the map with you when you go

if you do not know where the map is

1) go back to home page-------- 2)far left side in the middle ( right side if you are really drunk and reading this up side down) 3) there is a place to enter in name /password again - do so- 4) hit enter then after the computer does it's magic, 5) under the log in there will be some maps/photos sections among other things, even a place to by a CRT shirt..

The .pdf map is the old one, use the jpeg version, it's newer and much better. For instance, yes, Zona Blue is now HLH.

Great choice for your needs. Did you see they give CRT AND weekly discounts? The too together make it very inexpensive. Since you area budget monger, make sure to check out the MPs on Calle 6. With some good negotiating skills, pretty easy to make dates with a cutie or two after work or on days off. Sixty bucks should do it for a long term session or TLN from a chica in one of those places provided she is new to the scene. Many work in those places for a short time only, so lots of fresh chicas to be found. Some also work for a few decades, so.....

just a quick question to hank daman or whoever who can help.
The calle 6 mp's you told me is that in the map thats under c6?
yah i came 2 yrs ago to san jose but had more money to spend than so i went to HDR and the big massage parlors alot like HLH and new fantasy.. but now i have to be little cheap lol so those less expansive massage parlors will help me alot.
so as your saying, i can even take them to my place for cheaper price the MP chicks?
last time i went with a friend who knew spanish but now the two of are that are going doesnt knw that much spanish, just know little to get by.. does most cab drivers knows the places of those massage parlors on calle 6?
