Does anyone take cheap flights to Panama or Nic. for a visa run? I would like to go to David,Pan. or some beach place in Nic. In the past i have driven to the border of Panama and stay for 3 days. But would rather fly.

The buses to Nicaragua are really not bad at all. I'm a tall guy and am quite comfortable on them. They have AC. It just depends on your budget.

Hi All

I live and work and own a hostel in David Panama, a lot of our clients are on a 72 hour visa run or border run from Costa Rica to Panama. We are well positioned to receive you about 25 miles from the costa rica border crossing into Pasoa Canoas on the Pacific side of the country. We offer a huge garden and swimming pool, large rancho and common areas that include kitchen and hammocks and more..dorm beds are $8 and privates with AC and cable $25 and we were just listed in the new Lonely Planet (2010) Panama..please stop by our website if you need a very friendly border run hostel! http://www.bambuhostel.com

Well, as an analogous experience, drink a skinful of cheap mescal with another jug along for later, and go into the jivest dive-iest MP in SJO...you may be able to repeat his experience--we'll see the corpse or the remnants 3 days later. Good luck if you survive it--a lot of rockers tried to emulate Keith Richard's regimen; few lived to tell the tale. It takes a special guy with a chrome-vanadium steel constitution.

The bus to Sixaola is only $11. Taxi to Changuinola $3. Bus to Almirante $1.50. Ferry to Bocas $4.

Catch the 6 am bus and check in to a room on the water by 3pm.

I just got an e-mail ad from Taca with some pretty good fares from SJ. Panama City is $223 with all taxes included on their special fares. Check it out. You will need to save all the money you can, because the chicas think their genitals are plated with gold and charge accordingly.
