to bad the start day of this was not 4/1-- gone form 179 to 147 since then, but the first 20 or so came before the May 15th start date, most of the rest came after I gave up diet coke and Doritos upon my return from MDE in anticipation of being laid up for 90 to 120 days with a foot operation on Aug 3rd ( limited to weight lifting only now)

Seems every time I drop weight it is at the same time I stopped my coke habit , but this time the sugar went also

Doesn't it usually work the other way around? Look how skinny the chicas on coke are.

In order to catch up, I'll narrow my diet to diet Pepsi and cigarettes for three weeks  See you at the finish line

The challenge ended Labor Day with Orange and I the only ones posting a weight loss on the board. Looks like Orange is the winner. Congratd Orange, one HLh session on me.

Recently weighed in at 195 and 16.2 body fat. Feel great. Used to be about 215 and certainly 30+ body fat. For all those who are trying to lose the weight...keep at it. It will happen. :-)

I have been trying to lose. The older you get the harder it is to lose. I have been eating so many veggies my next dump is going to be a zucchini. Walking -- too screwed up to run anymore - about 60 minutes one day; 30 minutes the next and still little weight loss. I hope that when the weight reduction starts it will be a rapid loss, anyway a heck of a lot faster than it is now.

Using myfitnesspal dot com to track caloric intake and exercise.

DiegoC, it takes a long time to gain lots of weight, it will take a long time to lose it; you don't rapidly lose weight unless you drastically reduce your caloric intake to 1000 or less, making most of it protein, and start an intensive exercise program. Walking is actually good, especially if done at a fast pace and going up hills.

Been watching this thread, as someone who has always maintained a 30" waist since high school, I don't need to lose weight. :D I carefully plan what I eat, for instance I stay away from beer, booze and sugary drinks; I only drink water, unsweetened iced tea and 1% milk. I eat lean meats, like turkey breast, baked ham, baked or broiled fish, boneless skinless chicken breasts and pork chops, and occasionally a lean cut of steak. I usually make my own burgers using 96% lean ground beef or lean ground turkey, and I have tortilla chips with them instead of fries or potato chips. I avoid anything deep-fried. I also make frequent use of the Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice entrees for dinner, one of them is fine for me, and a good way to restrict your eating.

LOl,

With only two of us posting results I did not need to do the math. Orange lost more than me and I weigh a 100 more than he does.
