Going to try something different and spend a week on the Carribean side. Anyone know what the Tica situation is over there? Girl friendly hotels, strip clubs, MP's? thanks for your help! What towns are the best to stay in?

Just got back from a week at SL. While there met a girl from Limon named Sophia. When I asked her if there were any places like Del Ray or Sportsmens Lodge, she told me not really,..you dont have to pay, if a girl likes you they'll just Phuck you,...lol...her words. I do have her e-mail, can write and ask her for you. Give me a day or so.

Not much action besides touristas and druggie locals, no MPs or strip clubs. Do a search on Limon, it's worth a visit but you might change your mind about wasting a week over there.

There is a reason why Limon isn't talked about here...'cuz there's nothing there. San Jose and Jaco is where the action is at, with a few crumbs scattered here and there in other touristy spots. Limon is a port city, not a tourist one, except for cruise ships stopping by.

After spending a week in Puerto Viejo, I can tell you, sadly, there is no P4P.

Do a search on "Puerto Viejo" and you should find plenty of previous comments and discussions on this. Making my 3rd trip down there shortly and am NOT going there for the "action" because THERE IS NO ACTION there. NONE....NADA....ZERO. But it is a beautiful and very laid back area. If you mainly want P4P then don't bother wit the Carribean. If P4P is secondary or incidental to you then by all means you should go there. If you have the time in S.J. you could perhaps find a nice chica to take with you for a day or 2 and if you don't want to keep her then send her back on a bus after you've had enough.

It bears repeating that outside of San Jose and Jaco, it's regular tourist stuff and essentially BYOC (Bring Your Own Chica).

Funny when newbies think the whole country revolves around prostitution.

Most of these "Newbies" are I suspect Young Bucks with Raging Hormones. They see and read this stuff about Costa Rica and react like K*ds in a Candy factory. "Willy Wanko in the Puta Factory...."

It's not just the comical belief that there's an HDR everywhere in the country, it's also the same questions about the "availability" of bartenders, Hooters girls, TOM's, models, etc.. I don't think it's just the "Young Bucks", there are guys who really do think that every woman is for sale in CR just because it's a Latin country and the fact that the HDR exists in San Jose.

Back to the post, "Girls on the Caribean side?"

Limon, Downtown on the pedestrian walk, thier is a bar/restaurant on the port side ( east ) of the street, it has tables in front, out onto the sidewalk area. The barkeep on duty will take your order for a chica; age, body type, skin color mostly black, while you wait for the chica to show you will most likely be offerred funky smoke or coke for sale. When the chica shows you will be escourted across the street up a dingy stair way to hourly rooms, no sheets and a stained bed, dirty bath and a gal in the hall that will knock for more money, for the room every 30 minuets. Hopefully you will not be stumbling back down the stairs from being drugged or a knife protuding from your back. The barkeep may meet you in the middle of the street to asses his commission owed from you, or identify you as a mark for other street enterprising individuals if you do not pay.

Guapolis, Thier is a popular non franchised dowtown hotel advertised on the bill boards along the HWY. The name has slipped my mind, HOTEL ******* , on the street that it fronts on the corner is a small unmanned police booth in the street, To the south the street has 3 or 4 shady tico bars, the talent, is in general, something you will dream about for a long time, maybe on a really 1 in a 1,000 night you may find you something acceptable.

Cariari, To the North of Guapolis about 25 kil., The main drag through town turns to one-way at mid central, police station on left, 100 meters on the right is a tico bar with a open window you can lean thru and lean on, as you sip a beer. Every chica that enters is P4P. Many come from small towns around as well as Limon and Guapolis to earn a few extra dollars without thier families knowing, some are hard core, drug addicted pros, others housewifes trying to get grocery money. Move fast if something hot and decent shows up. The decent looking girls are in and out fast with a tico, that has been in waiting. You will need some spanish and game, but the last 30ish houswife I experienced, 8,000 colon, made her make change from a 10,000. Total service. You can sit across the street at another decent bar/soda and get a feel for the action. How is your game, leave the flowered shirts at home. ( My home town )
