Last night as I am leaving NF a bus with at least a dozen or two Chinese tourists pulls up in front of NF. Unlike some noobs, I really don't expect to get a "fresh one" but --man-- but getting serviced right after the chicas finish up with a busload of tourists ?? Nah. Glad I got there first.

As China is a rising economic power, I would expect to see more Chinese tourists in the coming years at all tourist places worth visiting. Just like the Japanese in the 80's.

Maybe it was payday for all the Chinese workers building the new futball stadium and they needed to relieve all the built up tension!!!! Wonder if they get the Tico or the Gringo price Bet they get the Tico price!!!

Seriously since China is trying to BUY Costa Rica's favor, they are possibly sending tourists here!!

Reminds me of something Lora Shaner wrote in her book of her life as the Madam at Sheri's Ranch during the '90s, that some of the best days were when a busload of Japanese men rolled in. They'd be flush with $100 bills and liberally speading them around.

I guess these group-mongering trips are an Asian thing.

I can remember back in the 60s and 70s when I made a couple of trips to Hawaii that there were always large tour groups of Japanese. I do not know if it is the case in other Asian countries, but I was told at the time that companies and factories ,etc. would each close up for vacation and all the employees went on vacation together as a group.

BangBang had mentioned [in jest] the possibility that these were the Chinese stadium workers. I wonder if they are provided with Chinese working girls, brought along to CR with them.

Seriously, I have wondered the same thing, especially after seeing them rushing back towards their compound after work!! Wondered why they were in such a hurry to get 'home'!
