It makes sense if you are coming from an area that has outbreaks of Yellow Fever and you have been there recently. However, if you are just arriving, let's say, from Miami, NY or Europe for that matter they are not going to deny entry. Their tourism industry would be decimated.

I had to revise my itinerary and will now be going to Colombia first. I fly back to the U.S. and then fly out the next day to C.R.- will this be an issue as far as the vaccination or am I ok as I'm not coming from Colombia directly?.

I don't think it will be an issue, unless the CR immigration agent sees the Colombia stamp from the day before and puts two and two together. Chances are that you won't have a problem.

That's what I was afraid of Crazyhorse- don't know if I want to risk that. They usually look through the passport pages.

...They do look through the pages, but they are govt. employees...

Now before the brethren start flaming me for that remark..lemme 'splain Lucy..

I was a fed govt. employee for 8 yrs. I got really good at filling out govt. forms and conducting the day to day beauracracy of Uncle Sugar...I found that if I did not deviate, in any way, from what the beauracracy expected..things went smooth. The first time I tried to put a bit of thought into what I was doing, when dealing with higher (D.C.)...the wheels fell off the Radio Flyer and nothing got done.

You are arriving on a flight from gringolandia. When they look at your migra form at it says: "Pais de Procedencia" U.S.A (los EEUU) they will most likely ignore any other stamps in your passport. They will have a lot of travellers to process and will most likely rubber stamp you in for 90 days.

Also, I think you have the wording of the regulation on your side...though I might be wrong. I don't think they will make the connection with someone travelling from the U.S.

Have a good trip.
