A new location is currently under construction 300 mtrs North of
Mall San Pedro and about 200 mtrs south of Fridays.

Not sure on an opening date....

Wow !!! I was under the impression that the one in Escazu has never met it's nut and is being subsidized by the Mothership which wants to establish a Central American presence.

It sure would help their cause if the Master Franchisor would put up a Website, as their other country's Franchisors have done. Minimal cost, maximal marketing and exposure. Penny wise, pound foolish?

Probably because they have washed up pigs working there and the service is horrible.

Was there last night. Hooters food sucks wherever you are. Nice spot though. I live in CR, so excuse me if I seek a little Americana every so often. However if you actually went there you would realize it is as Tico as it gets.

The san Pedro location is pretty happening: big, open locale with plenty of screens for sports. Much more of a tico crowd than the escazu location.

For the record the escazu location does not receive any support from the mothership. I believe it's a joint venture between some locals and the Guatemalan franchisee.

That has not been my experience at all. As a matter of fact, those little hotties have given me some of the best service I have gotten at Hooters anywhere. I suppose, as with everything, YMMV.

Yeah, I walked into the one in Guate City recently and all the waitresses (and I mean all of them) were all sitting at one table in the corner shooting the shit while what few customers there were went unattended and this was late in the afternoon on a Thursday. No where else do I find such a lackadaisical attitude towards customer service as among Central American waitresses in American chain restaurants. I will offer a theory that they are uncomfortable with the whole flirty waitress concept that Hooters seems to have codified in their customer service model.
