in-regards to my initial post about putting a Wal-Mart in the Gulch- it was not meant to be taken seriously- it was my attempt at some juxtaposition humor. It's in the absurdity of a Wal-Mart in the Gulch therein lies the humor. Jdove, there are "Walmarts" all over SJ. Walmart owns all the MasXMenos(including one in the 'gulch'), Pali, Supermerocados (I think that is what they are called) and there are 6-7 Hypermas which is the Costa Rica virsion of a Super Walmart!!

CUJO Why would anyone want a (uck) gringa in the gulch?? If that is your cup of tea, just stay where you are--there are plenty!! Why would any one pay to C*m here for a gringa--they are what most of us are trying to get away from To each his own!!!!!

How about a block with 7-8 MPs, each with a different theme-Oriental, Colombiana, Nicas, Soappy massaje, BBBJ CIM only, lesbo show speciality, all with bars ( and reasonable prices) hot showers, steam rooms, and spas!!! Or better yet, how about one really large place with all of this where guys could go and spend the day partying OH, and throw in a gym and professional massuses!!!! And maybe an inclosed swimming pool where all the chicas were required to be nude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my opinion the Gulch is missing Frenchy's Chicken, Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles, I Hop, Pappa's Bar B Q, Pappasitos, Chili's, Pappadeux's Seafood, Landry's Seafood, Longhorn Cafe.

Mustard Greens, Collard Greens and Cornbread Muffins!

Good Fried Chicken, Fried Shrimp, Fajitas, Chicken Fried Steak, T Bones and Rib Eye Steaks. Some consistency through the chains might make the beef more delectable.

However like any brotha from da Dirty South and I Southern Cooking!

I like gallo pinto but I love good Bar B Q tambien. Slow smoked over Pecan or Hickory wood.

1) Police who are there to catch REAL criminals such as muggers and theives, instead of hassling monger-oriented business for lame handicap-access violations, gringos for not having their actual passport or foreign chicas who, although they may be in CR illegally, are helping add to the economy.

2) I'll also 2nd the Thai-style soapy massage parlors, but as long as you're pulling in the best from other monger destinations then how how Rio-style termas

3) A truly LARGE-scale mongering venue. Something much bigger than the HDR/BM, such as something more on the scale of the former Helpe Disco in Rio.

4) An assortment of cozy and friendly much smaller scale bars, but all clustered conveniently together for easy bar-hopping. Something like the bar district of Pattaya or Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy in Bangkok.

5) I also like the Park Hotel idea, at least in terms of the lesbian oil show with audience participation and a blow job raffle at the end, but something much better managed than the way that drunkard Bill ran it (e.g. having at least a couple of halfway decent looking chicas in it would have been a good start and and stocking some paper towels for everyone to clean up with afterwards would have been a good finish).

Of course, dreaming like this is all well and good and, of course, a little fun, but given the current political climate in CR at this moment towards our hobby, I'd be happy just to see everything we currently have survive. My hat goes off to BK and the Dunn Inn for attempting to add a new mongering venue given this environment. I wish them a lot of luck and hope it succeeds.

If we are dreaming big, how about a mongering theme park with all kinds of attractions and rides?!
