I got to see first hand how the tico's would come to your aid if needed ....'won't happen" but my point is when I see the local's still waiting for the bus ...I feel the bad guys won't make a move then....but I am sure,one ofthem on drugs has done it before. That area that Hiker Tom is pointing out is where a few gringo's got hit from someone hiding in the alley's ....that is why I pointed out if you must walk that area at night stay in the middle of that street , walk fast and keep your head up and look for any bullishit ....

Si dos dollares By all means be safe but also will say I've made that walk hundreds of times and probably only taken a cab that block and 1/2 four or five times. Either was past 2 AM or because it was raining and chicas don't like to get their hair wet.
