Whatever you agree on, or what the meter says (if you go with the meter). Personally, if I were to take one, I would offer ¢5,000 to one that's dropping a pasenger off. They get nothing if they go back to San Jose vacant. The metered fare is probably around ¢10,000, depending on traffic.

Last time i was there(oct.) I paid $22 at the window to go to the del rey.

When I was there in April, I paid $25 to go th SL. The exchange rate at that time was around 525 colones/$.

I was down at the end of June and they said they wouldn't let you pay a flat fare at the window. You had to go on the meter. I got in the cab at 5:30 Friday afternoon and because of traffic, it was $28 to Amistad.

That's why a flat rate before you get in the cab is better. You will be surprised how many short cuts the taxistas find when there is traffic and NOT on the meter :wink:
