I found Imperial at Specs in Spring, TX, north of Houston. They said they will have it as long as the distributor can supply it. Seems popular here. I'm now buying it regularly. Brings back great memories!

This doesn't exactly answer Brother BigDan1173's question but enables a call-around to find other Specs stores that might have it: http://www.specsonline.com/cgi-bin/locate
This chain is on Houston like green on a frog.

Not busting here but why would you ice down and thus dilute already cold beer? With a napkin around the glass/bottle in a coolish or A/C venue? Just tradition or some real purpose?

Sorry if I sound like a beer snob but none of the CR beers can be called great.

That's kind of the nature of my OP. I was curious about the non-CR beers that are available for a decent price there. I've been three times, and each time I go the CR domestics are less palatable.

Junky11 and Brother BigDan1173--Have you tried a Nicaraguan beer called Tona (tilde over the "n")? I believe you'll find it tasty and refreshing. Our Sponsor Harry's Bar Poas features it and discounts during Happy Hour. Here's the cerveceria's Website: http://www.cervezatona.com/en/1_welcome.shtml

Jazz, I'm always willing to try something new. I'll make a trip to happy hour on my next trip (T-minus 11 days... :( :o :) :D ).
