I am trying to add an extra day onto each end of my trip, but it will mean I have to do a total of about 4 hours work. Not a bad trade off for two extra days, but I do need a good internet connection for phone calls and e-mail. I am staying at the Dunn Inn and am wondering if anyone has used the wireless there and if so was it reliable and would you know the speed you were able to get. The actual speed is not something most people have probably checked, but just knowing that calls and e-mail went through with no issues is probably good enough. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I stayed @ the Dunn Inn in room #3 from 6/6-6/12 & got excellent wireless reception. I logged on to my Acer netbook morn, noon & night & always got excellent response. As for the speed I got, I have no idea.

Hank123 , the wireless internet at the DUNN INN is very reliable. I don't believe you will have any problems. However it may be just a tad slower than what you are used to in the US but not real noticable

I did not have any trouble with the WiFi signal. I was in room 18, and it was 5 out of 5 bars.

Speed wasn't bad either. I'd say it's about DSL speeds, probably 512k down.

The last time I stayed there the Wi-fi in my room was more than adequate. I own a business with several partners which requires me to do several hours a business day at least on my lap tap and I was very happy with the amount of work I got done in my room each day.

Piqued my interest so I found 2 sites to check the speed--there's tons of these sites; these 2 look the easiest to use (my speed is miserable, being a wireless modem):

We installed repeaters so the signal would be good throughout the hotel. Guys use Skype and Magic Jacks with no problems.
