Heading out to San Jose for the July 4th long weekend. Been to CR 3 times, back in the early 2000's. Just checking this board to see who is heading out at the same time...never hurts to have a wingman or two!

Great! I am staying at the DI. Usually stayed at the Presidente, before the remodel. Hope my choice is a good one!

I am a Newbie on this Board and have been reading a lot. I will be there during those times. I have reservations at SL and Amistad, need to cancel one of them. Looking for some fun and adventure.

Will be at La Amistad July 1-6

I have a room in the new mansion area at SL and not sure at Amistad. Based on the feedback here, I think I am going to keep the SL room.

Hey man. I saw you are going to be in CR 7/1 to 7/7, I will be there 'till 7/5. Not really been there before. I am doing other activities like fishing, WW Rafting, Zipline, etc. You are welcome to come along.

Both hotels are good and only about two minutes walking if that. If the house on the corner wasnt there you would be able to see them from one and other.
SL has a way better bar and allows unescorted chicas Amistad does not,no chica fees at either.

I'll be checking into SL July 4th around 11:00am till July 11th. I'll be at the SL bar in case anyone wants to meet up around noon to head out to check out some MP action.

Amistad is more peaceful and has a better included breakfast with omelets(meat,bacon sausage a costs a little extra). All I ever saw at Sl was more of a continental type breakfast but I may have missed something. SL is more of a party but the bar closes at 12 midnight so you will likely be heading over to the DR anyway, just saying easy to stay anywhere and play everywhere, its like a two dollar taxi ride to go where you need to go

Yes, I always travel solo this will be trip# 17. I have learned that you have the most fun taking things one day at a time. Try not to schedule too much in a 5 day trip. Hang out at the SL bar and you will meet many vets that will help you out. Trust me you will have a ball.
