I can see it from here (Eric's place). Eric said playboy sometimes uses it when they come down for vacation.

I think Brother NHHank knoweth me too well (NOT in the Biblical sense).
But seriously (or serially), Brother 4aBetterB.Amon, ask management of the Secret Mansion to contact Senior Brother Admin 1 about becoming a Sponsor--it make this commercial notice so much easier to swallow. You are after all competing with venues that are Sponsors (Executive Properties, the higher end of the SL and La Amistad, and new luxe suites at the Dunn Inn)--none of whom have complained publicly though they every right to about this bootleg notice. Fair is fair.

If they're raking in $1500 / night, you would think they could afford an CRT ad... :D

Agree, there are many guys in SJO who have the funds to pay "FU money". Most of the smart ones know not to rub it in everyones face, and they just blend in with the rest of us.

Quoted in toto by 2 distinguished Brothers is indeed an honor--no joke. Management of this place is reminded (here's the stick) that Senior Brother Admin1 has the power to delete this Thread and scrub all mention of this venue--a word to the (hopefully) wise--especially if you have plans to rent single rooms and reach those of us that can go the steep tariff (you'd be/I'd be surprised at how many there are--20K + members only a very few of whom post).

Quick update - stopped by the Secret Mansion's Speakeasy bar last week for a drink. It's located 2 doors down from Hotel Tequicia, on the same side of the street.

It's a regular bar, nicely appointed but rather small. Drinks were priced according to the venue. More of a city lounge-type feel than a regular watering hole.

No chicas sitting around, sorry CRT mongers. :)

There were 5 people (2 good looking babes and 3 locals) at one table but otherwise the place was empty.

Hey Brother MH, do they serve bocas or anything to soak up the booze? Good top-shelf selection?

I didn't ask to see the menu, but they apparently do serve Italian food. I didn't see a restaurant area though.

Glenlivet, JW Green/Gold and your favorita Flor de Caña Centenario were available.

Brother MH--"...You've made me so very happy..."--especially about the Scotch. I switched because Scotch has no sugar--even OK for mild diabetics.

Doesn't it have to have sugar to be fermented?

Yes, but as this article explains, fermentation is followed by distillation. In this process most/all sugar is consumed by the metabolic process:
