The Dunn Inn is a great Hotel!! Period!!

True dat about no buffet but try their bocas menu along with the drink specials. Love all 3 of the bar keeps too. Bring a music video and rock on with your bad self.
BTW, when that new venue next door gets swingin' in the fall, look for Brother BKTuna there. Look for the big man with the huge grin.

This was uncalled for. My statement was a simple warning. I think I have a right to assess
whether the room is small or not without being attacked by you Chilimike.

Bk I asked for you they said they never heard of you. Also the girl was very rude, maybe having a bad day I do not know. I think I have a right to my opinion with out being attacked
by the school yard bullies.

It is obvious that the places that accepted my card are places where I have been before.

When I booked the room I gave the CRT ID to the girl who booked it. I asked if she could look it up. She said no. THe room was much smaller than the room at the Morazon. No one is ripping your hotel, I am simple stating a fact. Everyone has bad days. I just will not go back where I am not comfortable.

The name "BKTuna" is a screen handle so the front desk folks might not have known who you were asking for, and CRT biz is kept separate from the hotel's biz--the man's true name is Boyd. Unfortunate set of circumstances. Better luck next time.

I am truly sorry your visit did not work out. I beleive you were here for one night and I missed you. We try very hard to provide good customer service at the Dunn Inn. However, with Tica receptionists there is no way to give them any leeway on things like discounts. Stop by on your next trip and let me buy you lunch and show you the rooms I would have put you in. Sounds like as a walkin you got the standard which is nicely appointed but small.

I just got back from a GREAT stay at the Dunn Inn. And, I can't wait to go back.

I ran into Boyd within an hour of setting foot in the hotel. I figured he'd be the guy with the giant box of CRT VIP cards.

The hotel was as I expected. It's got the atmosphere of a small family-run hotel. Very similar to the European family-owned hotels. A very nice (charming) historic building that looks well cared for and well appointed. Everything was VERY VERY clean also.

Regarding the posting about larger rooms at the Morazan:
My wingman was staying this trip at the Hotel Maragato. True, it was a larger room than mine, but it looked like a cookie-cutter room. Completely plain. It looked like any crappy Motel 6. At least my room at the Dunn Inn had some character.

...And it's not just the front-of-house folks that are good at the DI--housekeeping and maintenance do their part to keep what's an admittedly older, quirky venue running pleasing to us and top-notch infrastructure-wise.

kmm, please accept my apology on being rude to you ....I for one don't care for the bully bullshit but it looks like that is what I pulled on you ....you seem like a good guy (and I didn't have all the facts)hope you take BK up on having lunch with him.

I just want to make a mention of something that is stated here.. That can only be referred to the fact that you requested the CRT Discount when making your reservation as NO HOTELS or ANY ESTABLISHMENT have any list of VIP's of any way shape or form.

Just so there are no thoughts to the contrary!

Dmm, they always ask me for the card at the bar, everyday, even when they had seen it the day before. At first, it would seem a nuisance but people sign up for a year and may want lifetime discounts. SL also asks me when I have my bar tab. I think the places should do it.

Bk no worries we will do that. The issue was not about the discount or the fee, it was the
attitude, as my spouse and the girl with us said in the cab, someone had a bad day. It happens to all of us. Last time we stayed at the Doubletree, the front desk girl was really ugly with us.
The manager called the room afterwards and said they were going to move us to a suite as a way to apologize, I said I am not looking for anything for free, I am only looking for good service. I did not take the upgrade, and I will not let you buy me lunch, but I will have a beer with you and I'll buy.
