Dont overlook the possibility of a great deal on a flight using sky miles. I started watching fares over a month ago and they creped up like crazy. I had come to terms that it would be a few extra weeks before I got back to SJO .I am not paying over 700 dollars to fly anywhere Long story short I am flying down business class both ways for 46,500 miles and 41 dollars. I like the way this trip is starting out

Did you get business class both ways for 46,500 miles or is that one way in business and the other way in coach? I have never been able to get business both ways for less than 60,000 miles. 35,000 miles in coach ATL to SJO or SJO to ATL.

In any event , A LOT of dates are available for miles redemption right now. I checked a few weeks ago and not much was available. I just booked two tickets SJO to ATL ,round trip, for $376 each. I should have checked miles first. I could have used miles but I guess I will use them at a later date.

I just looked at my recept and I only got business going to CR, but as I always say it only matters where you sit on the way down,cause you gonna sleep on the way home. The only thing that would make this trip better is if I get bumped in ATL and get another ticket for July God how I love those free tickets

Damn, I just paid 60k miles from ATL. Business down, economy back.

I actually preferred the earlier economy class flight down (a real pain to make the flight, but an extra 10 hrs or so in CR)... but that was 70k!!?! Price in dollars was identical.
