Well, if I am going to tell a joke, I may as well poke fun at my heritage ... french Canadian. If you are insulted, my apologies ...

An Italian, Tico and French Canadian were all working in San Jose on a new high rise. They were up un a beam about 30 stories up having lunch.

The Italian opens his lunch and says, "Spaghetti again!!! If I get spaghetti tomorrow I'm a jumpin!" The Tico opens his lunch and is suprised, frowns and says "Rice and beans .. I hate rice and beans! If I get the same tomorrow I'm jumpin to!!!" the Canuck opens his lunch, scowls and says "Pea soup .. I hate hate hate it ... If I get it tomorrow I'm jumping to end it all!"

Well the next day, up to the 33 story, The Italian slowly opens his lunch, screams "spaghetti!!!" and jumps to his death. The tico opens his lunch and sees rice and beans and jumps as well. Finally, the Canadian checks his lunch, and when he sees a bowl of Pea Soup, he jumps to his death.

At a combined wake, the wives are grieving to one another. the Italian's wife says "I thought he LVED spaghetti .. I could have made him anything else!!! If I only knew, he would be alive today!!" The Tica said "I could have cooked any other tipical CR food ... why didnt he tell me he hated rice and beans ... I feel like I killed him!"

The two wives looked over to a dumbfounded french Canadian wife .... she looked back, stunned and said "I dont understand ... he packs his own lunch"

That was phucking stupid...Now get your ass back to work.

A Canuck monger would have eaten the spaghetti, eaten the rice and beans then saved the pea soup for bartering with a TICA.

i thought it was mainly Chinese doing construction, plus I haven't seen my highrises in SJ...prolly something to do with earthquakes

Plenty of high rises in Tokyo--they just know how to do it right, having learned from the debacle in 1923. OTOH, CR lost a major railroad in 1991 in the 7.6 then--no lessons learned therefrom or lack of will? You be the judge.
