Forgot my CRT card and every place was good without it except Dunn Inn which charged full price and a chica fee. Guess first time is last time. So do not forget your CRT card if you are going to Dunn Inn. That was my last time at the Dunn Inn. The Room was like a box, the regular rooms at Morazon are bigger and cost less.

If you had discussed this with me, Admin 1 and I would have issued you a temporary card. We have done this for others. The front desk is doing their job, no CRT card no discount. Unfortunately, there are enough instances of guys trying to take advantage of discounts without cards that we have to monitor it closely.

Once again, all you had to do was ask me. I was unaware you had an issue.

Just to make a point I will have to send out a notice to remind the other sponsors and I will today that NO SPONSOR without showing the VIP Card should be providing discounts. The Dunn Inn is simply following exactly what they should be doing.

Plain and simple if you have forgotten or lost your card please contact me otherwise no discounts should be honored.

I believe Kmm653 experience at the Dunn was probably mostly his own lack of communication. I, like many other members came down this trip without my card. All it took to solve the problem was a mention to Boyd and I was given a temporary card. As far as customer service, I don't believe you can find a more friendly or efficient establishment. And to compare the rooms at the Morazon to those at the Dunn is absurd.

Don't go blaming others for your mistake.

I also keep a lockbox here and store cards for guys (regardless of where they are staying) who either do not want the bother of remembering to bring it or have reasons to not have a card back home.

I am at the Dunn Inn most days from 7:30 to 6pm. On Saturdays I leave mid afternoon. I am off Sundays. The front desk has my cell phone number and I live less than a block from the hotel. I will always make the effort to meet you and resolve any issues you have. I am the easiest guy in Costa Rica to find.

Well Kmm you going to have a hard time telling people on this site that the Dunn Inn gave you a raw deal.....first I wanted to check out your posts to see maybe you were a 21 year old K*D who didnt know how to handle a simple problem....nope you in your 40's or 50's .....maybe 1st time in costa rica ? nope at least one other trip....most of your questions were about other hotels .....white house , double tree .....I have stayed at the Dunn Inn and if BK tuna has a fault ..its that he is there to much !!! everyday he is near the lobby from around 9 to 12 then he sets up shop at one of the restaurant tables .....if I had never been to san jose ever and I walked into Dunn Inn (and didnt know who was in charge of the place) he would be the first person I would pick ....
When you went to pay the bill .....how do you not ask for him.....? you have no problem writing about this now that its over .....why didn't you send him a simple pm or write about your problems here .....you would of got at least 20 answers all of them saying "GO FIND BK TUNA " sorry man ....grow up and handle your shit !!!!

i can certainly sympathize with you. rules is rules however, and they march to the same drum @the dunn inn; no card = no discount. I’ve been staying here for some 2 years now, and consider the staff to be amongst my very short list of good aquaintances. every single time - without fail, upon arrival i’m asked to present the card - this after all that work there know me on a first name basis. two weeks ago i neglected to bring it,,, had i not brought this to boyds [whom drafted me a temporary] attention i’m fairly certain they would have charged both the guest entrance and the published room rate,,,

Whoever BKtuna is,..I look forward to meeting you because you do seem to be very helpful to those who ask,...I will be at SL august 11th thru 17th, may come try the buffet and view the rooms.

The Dunn Inn is a great Hotel!! Period!!

True dat about no buffet but try their bocas menu along with the drink specials. Love all 3 of the bar keeps too. Bring a music video and rock on with your bad self.
BTW, when that new venue next door gets swingin' in the fall, look for Brother BKTuna there. Look for the big man with the huge grin.
