The Aerosmith website (www.aeroforceone.com) lists them as playing June 1st at the Autodromo La Guacima in Alajuala. Apparently that's a auto race track/circuit(?). Is it new? I wonder why they are playing there, and not at a soccer venue?

If you are thinking about buying tickets, make sure you know who the promoter is. The people who bought tickets to the Guns 'N Roses concert that was canceled have STILL not gotten their money back, and I doubt they will. Costa Rica pura vida.

Regarding the albums, I'd have to concur for the most part, except for Pump (1989), which was a very good album. I'd have to disagree with your statement that they never put on great live shows. I've always thought that they usually put on great live shows, at least in the '70s, '80s and '90s.

Yeah they were good...over 30 years ago. Abut today? For more on Steven "Drug Dog" Tyler, read this (or better, his '99 autobiography--he pulls no punches):

I personally wouldn't walk across the street for a free concert but YMMV.

Apparently they stayed at the Intercontinental Camino Real in Escazu. I wonder why they didn't stay at the HDR or the Morazan
It's good to see all five original members are on the tour. You have to wonder if they get sick of playing the same songs. They've been
around for 40 years now! Hell, I saw them in December 1970 (I had just turned 18, so I could drink legally), when they were playing the 'bar circuit'
in northern New England. It was a small club that held maybe 200 people at the most. We figured they were just another 'cover band' from the Boston
area, which they were at the time.

Some friends are thrilled they got 90.00 nosebleed section tickets for an upcoming show  what really amazes me is that more people aren't SICK of hearing their same noise for 40 yrs.

That's probably a large part of it, the other part being pure ego and not wanting to let their group's concept die a natural death. Most of these bands, I'd rather see an excellent "Tribute" cover band.

With the exception of Steve Tyler, who is 62, they are either 58 or 59 years old. I have to admit, for 62, Tyler still moves around pretty good on stage.

What is this, some ageist bushwa? You oughta see me me move...and while I haven't done all the drugs he has. i haven't done the HGH he has either. Remember 60 is the new 40...and taking that into consideration (and the ego-driven desperation of being THIS CLOSE to being kicked out as front-man for failure to perform)...yeah he's doing OK.
