And to me the ultimate sad part is so many don't even get to a place where they pose the question, never mind confront the quandary. I won't belabor the point by dragging in some tired "Mankind like sheep" wheeze--you get the drift.

Socialist? C'mon man......

It's much easier to place the spotlight on a very small number of "participants" of certain "practices" than it is to focus on the real socialist matters that REQUIRE addressing in that entire sector of North America: Specifically in these instances, the vast increase of Tico on Tico crime (and that includes the duplicity and corruption on all levels from law enforcement to the Courts; to property purchase; to even getting something so simple as a cedula or even a cell phone, blah, blah, blah.....); the rotting infra-structure that's grown attached to IMF monies to make anything work; and the concentration of wealth in the hands of fewer and fewer "locals"; the lack of adequate housing, food stuffs, employment, blah, blah, blah. To focus on and magnify the meanderings of a tiny aspect of a country is far simplier for them that has and want even more than it is for them to address the larger issue(s). Here we have a wonderful question each of us will have to answer (Click on me duffus') And concluding: The correct mindset for viewing things(Yeah, click on me too)....

It doesn't. A laptop was acquired for a mere 28 packs of cigs. A can from the chow area was purchased for 1 pack. Wire was secured for another pack as was a USB device and an antenna has been built. The "officers" don't have a clue why their bandwidth has degradated. 8)

True, but even paranoids sometimes have real enemies.

I'm of two minds on this. Part of me tries to calm myself with the thought that proposed laws like this are so stupid and misguided that they'll never actually pass (or, if passed, be enforced). But another part of me sees other EQUALLY stupid and misguided laws that HAVE passed and HAVE been enforced in recent years (e.g. the one that allows chicas to ALLEGE domestic abuse and then take possession of your property with the aid of the court system). And so I think, "Who Know? Maybe ..."

The said thing is that CR has so many more much more serious problems to deal with, such as all the ones Steven1 just mentioned and more. Some of those problems are even at the root core of why so many chicas CHOOSE to prostitute themselves in the first place (e.g. lack of alternative economic opportunity). If they actually dealt with some of those OTHER problems, then maybe there wouldn't be so many chicas offering their bodies up for sale at the HDR, prices would go up due to lessened supply and, in turn more foreign mongers would stay home or go elsewhere (to even more impoverished countries) in their search for cheap pu*sy. And that would be BEYOND those effort's LARGER benefits of improving the conditions of the population as a whole. Unfortunately, it is always much easier for politicians (particularly politicians with an already established feminist agenda) to offer up FOREIGN bogeymen as the source of all their country's problems. Mongers make for a clear and obvious target and, while the proposed "solutions" may not make much sense to us, they are far easier to implement and, at least in the short run, less costly than what they'd have to do to deal with those other problems. The media plays along because stories of sex and violence always sell more ad copy then boring old ones about the reduction of government corruption, improved financing for small business or the building and MAINTAINING of roads and other infrastructure. And the "Mankind like sheep" (or what I like to call "Sheeple") stupidly fall for it and go along with it because they're too mindless and unsophisticated to recognize it for what it really is (and don't think the "educated" populace of the US is any less prone to fall for such tactics).

Pro-i think your a couple paragraphs away from a novel-but all good points. If and when anything changes I/WE will adjust accordingly.I'm still of the opinion that there will be no drastic changes and we will all continue to enjoy CR.

I was just watching the travel channel VB and your gal, Samantha Brown is raving about Buenos Aires; very cheap and a world class city. Been there and thought the same thing.

Argentina has an aging population. There may be some decent action there but the population on a whole is OLD :(
